One of the blessings of the pandemic is the abundance of virtual classes that’s become available. Here are five of my fav virtual yoga classes, all of which are free on YouTube.  I like to do the same sequence a few times, so I can do the class without watching quite so closely. Plus, being able to pause the class to take a closer look is a bonus. Take a peak at each of these, and let me know which one you try!

Whole Body Practice with Karen Andersen

There’s a great studio in Port Moody called Kushala that’s taken their yoga studio online recently. The instruction and quality is great. I love this class by Karen, who’s a highly technical teacher, and really easy to follow. Find more from Karen in this online library of classes.

Yoga for Self Intimacy with Abiola Akanni

Abiola is an inspiring teacher I’ve been following for years. This class offers a well rounded Vinyasa Flow, with some wisdom teaching at the top. Abiola’s also the founder of Trap Vinyasa, a body positive hip hop yoga community. Highly recommend.

Well-Rounded Hatha Class with Rachel Scott

I’ve come back to this free YouTube class quite a few times, and love it. Rachel has great energy, and gives detailed cues. This class leaves me feeling really spacious. Find more of Rachel’s classes on DoYogaWithMe.com.

Deep Calm for Pitta Dosha with Mara Branscombe

A deeply relaxing and opening class, this class is part of an Ayurveda yoga series Mara’s teaching on Gaia. Click here to explore this series and more from one of my favorite teachers.

Yoga Flow with Adriene

For when you need a quick 20 minute flow series, this class by Yoga with Adriene is just the ticket. She’s a very accessible teacher, best known for her Yoga Party series. And I love her dog.
