As we emerge, still drenched, perhaps, from the Piscean bog, we enter into the Aries fire. At the beginning of April, the Sun, Saturn, Chiron, and Neptune are in Aries. By mid April, Mercury, and Mars will join them. That’s a lot of fire power, my friends. The most important question is: how shall we wield it?
If we’re not careful, we may be tempted to burn it all down (whatever “it” may be). But there’s an equal risk of repressing or projecting this energy. Many of us are uncomfortable with the God of War, for what we truly desire is peace.
And while peace, yes, is exactly what to aim for, my guides have been bringing through the message that we need to perceive our position correctly: it’s right to want peace, but the truth of the matter is that we find ourselves on a battle ground right now.
Physical violence may be the worst of it, but it doesn’t end there. This war is waged through consciousness, frequency, attention, emotion, energy, information, thought forms, economics, and policy. To deny it would be to put our heads in the sand while under attack.
The Full Moon in Libra on April 1st asks us to integrate Aries and Libra, without suppressing either. Aries faces truth, and fights for its cause, but to do so wisely, it needs the tact, diplomacy, and relational intelligence that Libra offers. Libra wants peace and justice, but can only bring it about with Aries’ willingness to address what’s uncomfortable and difficult.
In this light, my guides suggest we might understand ourselves as Warriors of Peace. They say: don’t deny the archetype of the warrior altogether. That is the Aries archetype afterall, and that’s the energy on offer right now. So, either we act it out unconsciously, or we lift it up to a higher octave.
Aries has courage, determination, honesty, and resilience. At best, Aries turns its strength and passion towards protecting those who are vulnerable, standing up for truth, fighting for justice, and acting with honour and integrity. Aries integrated with Libra binds its mission to peace, justice, balance, and harmony.
It turns the whole visceral energy that once was used for war, now towards the spiritual cause. Its role is to initiate, to bring about the new, and in this context, Aries desires a whole new course for the human collective and fearlessly leads the way there.
This is what the current energy asks of us. To do so, we first must acknowledge the truth of the situation we find ourselves in. And then: we don’t waste our life force on distraction, on winning for the sake of winning, or on proving points. Our mission is bigger. We’re fighting for peace now, not just for ourselves, but for the human collective. This is our biggest initiation yet.
We participate in these cosmic themes in the ways we show up for the most mundane moments of our lives. Notice where you may be tempted to suppress the fighting spirit, or let it fly without pause. How can you integrate the willingness to address what isn’t working, with the intention to cultivate deeper peace and harmony? In this way, we contribute to creating more peace and harmony on Earth, for we are all interconnected.
