I started as employee #6 at a Vancouver-based B2B software company, where I helped grow the team from 6 to 170 people. From there I founded Umami Marketing, a remote-first digital marketing agency I led for nearly 15 years while traveling and living around the world before exiting. Along the way I’ve advised founder-CEOs, led global teams, and sat inside the kinds of pivotal decisions that keep leaders up at night.

I know what it takes to build. And I know what it takes out of you.

What I’ve learned from the inside — and from my own unraveling — is that the ceiling most leaders hit isn’t strategic. It’s internal. No amount of systems, frameworks, or execution will move what the body is holding.

After years of giving everything outward, I hit my own wall. What followed were five years of shedding, and eventually the discovery of somatic energy work rooted in the methodology of Dr. John Amaral (@somaticenergyofficial). It moved what thinking never could. It brought me back to myself — with more precision, more truth, and more ease than I’d felt in years.

I’ve been energetically sensitive my whole life — able to read the subtle currents beneath a conversation, a room, a business dynamic. What I now understand as magnetoreception. It’s always been there. The work has just helped me trust it.

Now I bring both dimensions together. The strategic and the somatic. The seen and the unseen.
