If you’re looking for an expansive getaway, maybe it’s time to plan your next vacation around a wellness festival. Recently, my dear friend Rani wanted to travel to India alone, and decided to plan her trip around the world renowned Yoga Festival in Rishikesh, Northern India. She explained that she hadn’t been to India in a while and felt like having a destination with other like-minded people would be a great way to acclimatize, meet people, enjoy what she loves (she’s a big Kirtan fan) and have a landing place to explore the surrounding area. This got me thinking: I would like to do this, too! Her pictures looked amazing. I’m one of those people who’s never been drawn to go to camping-type festivals like Burning Man, but I do love the idea of taking in a festival as a way to travel. Here are a few that look intriguing.
