For nearly a decade, Head + Heart has connected thousands of people with trusted wellness practitioners, experiences, and resources. Now, we’re extending our vision of wellness to support survivors of trafficking and the frontline workers who walk alongside them every day.
Trafficking is a global industry that continues to remain mostly hidden, and profoundly damaging to women and children. As a wellness community, supporting this population feels like an important evolution of our mission.
Using 30% of the fees from our Directory Membership, we are coming alongside a local front-line organization, providing funding support as well as access to holistic healing experiences that are typically out of reach due to resource limitations.
With the support of our growing network of wellness practitioners, wellness spaces, and our broader community of readers, this Community Impact Initiative will help survivors of trafficking AND frontline workers experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, and secondary trauma. Alongside funding support, we’ll provide access to healing sessions such as group somatic processing, equine-assisted experiences, day retreats, nature-based activities, sound healing, TCM experiences, breathwork, and more.
We deeply believe in the power of community to create real change in the world. This is just the beginning, and we welcome your support in the following three ways.
We’re creating a trusted network of trauma-informed practitioners, facilitators, wellness spaces, and retreat providers who would like to provide healing experiences to support trafficked women and frontline workers. We are in the process of creating a menu of wellness experiences (examples above) that our partner organizations can choose from as needed. Practitioners will be compensated through the fund we’re creating, and there will also be opportunities for those who wish to contribute services by donation.
Joining our directory is not only an opportunity to expand your visibility & share your offers and events with our community of wellness seekers, it’s also an invite to become part of a new model for how business, wellness, and community can thrive together in one supportive ecosystem. Thirty percent of all membership fees are directed into our Community Impact Initiative, which supports survivors of sex trafficking and the frontline workers who walk alongside them on their healing journey.
