About

Sarah is a traditional Hatha Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, Breathwork & Meditation guide, Sound Healer, teacher of teachers, and lifelong student of what it means to live well.

With over 11 years of experience, she has taught Yoga, Reiki, Breathwork and healing practices to students around the world. Her work is rooted in traditional Hatha Yoga, the Chakra Yoga System, The Art of Breathing & Usui and Holy Fire Reiki — ancient practices that she shares in a grounded, accessible and deeply human way.

At the heart of Sarah’s work is her love of teaching teachers. She finds great meaning in helping others deepen their own practice, discover their unique voice and develop the confidence and knowledge to guide others. For students who feel called to become Certified Yoga Teachers or Reiki Practitioners, Sarah offers mentorship and training that honours both the tradition of these practices and the individuality of the person stepping forward to share them.

Sarah’s relationship with the breath began during her Yoga Teacher Training in 2015, a three-month immersion centred around The Art of Breathing. At the time, she regularly experienced panic attacks and sleep paralysis. As she learned to breathe deeply, expand her lung capacity and develop a relationship with her nervous system through the breath, something remarkable shifted: after completing her training, the panic attacks stopped and have never returned.

That experience changed the direction of her life.

Breathwork has remained one of the foundations of Sarah’s personal practice and teaching ever since. She loves its simplicity and universality: you don’t need to be a yogi to benefit from your breath — you simply need to be human.

A Reiki Master with more than 11 years of practice, Sarah offers both individual healing sessions and Reiki Training for those wishing to develop their own relationship with this gentle and powerful healing modality. Her work also incorporates sound healing, meditation and intuitive practices, including a longstanding connection with Tarot and Oracle Cards. She received her first Tarot Card Deck as a gift from her Mother when she was 11 years old.

And while Sarah deeply respects tradition, she also believes healing can be joyful.

She is an enthusiastic lover of ecstatic dance and the kind of free movement that asks you to forget what you look like and simply inhabit your body. Her classes and gatherings often weave together depth and playfulness — stillness alongside movement, discipline alongside freedom.

Much of Sarah’s career has unfolded outdoors, leading yoga and healing experiences in beautiful natural spaces around the world. Have you ever tried an outdoor reiki session? She believes there is something uniquely powerful about practicing with your feet on the earth, breathing fresh air and allowing mountains, forests, oceans and open skies to become part of the experience. Yoga hits differently in special places.

Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Positive Psychology from the University of British Columbia, where her studies included exploring the relationship between nature and human happiness. This continues to influence both her work and her philosophy of life. She believes wellbeing isn’t only found in extraordinary experiences; it is also cultivated through our ability to notice and relish what is already here — a beautiful plant, a tiny insect, sunlight through the trees, a delicious meal, or a hug from a good friend.

Her mission is simple: to help create more enjoyment in the world.

Beyond teaching, Sarah is a creative writer and perpetual maker of things. She is almost always writing something — poems, stories, songs, ideas for books, screenplays and whatever else happens to arrive. Creativity, like movement and breath, is another way she makes sense of being alive.

When she isn’t teaching or creating, you’ll most likely find Sarah hiking through the North Shore mountains, spending the day by the ocean, reading a fantasy novel, dancing, exploring somewhere beautiful, pulling a tarot card, watching movies or treating herself to something delicious. A devoted foodie, she believes sharing a good meal with friends and family is its own kind of medicine.

Ultimately, Sarah’s work is an invitation to come more fully into your life — to breathe deeply, move freely, connect with nature, listen inward, create, laugh, enjoy yourself and remember how extraordinary the ordinary can be.
