Partners in life and in service, Sagan Bolliger and Helena Zhu have dedicated themselves to serving the God Molecule, 5-MeO-DMT—a psychedelic that is simple, powerful, and kind. They founded Earthlings Institute in 2021 out of love and reverence for this molecule. 

Based on an island sanctuary a 20-minute ferry from Vancouver, nestled between the ocean and mountains, they host private Personal Passage Retreats and their flagship small-group weekend retreat, Self Contact Retreat, where they are joined by a heart-centred team of healers called to supporting the inward journey with this 5-MeO-DMT.

Sagan grew up close to nature on a farm in Nova Scotia, steeped in rich solitude sitting by the river or under the willow tree, where he found a deep longing for soulful connection with Self and World. He studied psychology, philosophy, and artificial intelligence before feeling called to return to his own inner realms, and stepping into psychedelic guiding. He brings to his work compassion and acceptance, rooted in his own journey through trauma to wholeness.

Helena grew up between a quaint university campus and the mountains of Sichuan in the wild west of China. She has also lived in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom studying social sciences and working in journalism, public policy, and international development. She is fascinated by humans, and in awe of our innate nature to heal, grow, forgive, and love. She brings joy, love, and understanding wherever she goes.
