Erica Trivett

Osteopathic Practitioner, Feldenkrais Method® practitioner & ELDOA™ instructor

About

I’m Erica. I help people with their bodies — through manual therapeutic touch and movement education grounded in anatomy and human developmental patterns. Understanding how the body is formed and how it adapts gives profound insight into why people hurt — and how to help.

I want people to live their lives more fully, feel more connected to their bodies, and have less pain. And I want to give them tools they can actually use: for self-regulation, health management, and aging with grace and agency.

My path into body work began long before the clinic. I trained as a classical ballet dancer and performed internationally for over 30 years. I’ve been teaching movement since I was young — and that foundation, deeply practical and deeply embodied, shapes everything about how I work with clients today.

I studied the Feldenkrais Method® in Paris from 2001–2006 and hold Level 1/2 and 3 certifications in ELDOA™. I founded Fairview Osteopathy in 2020 after completing my osteopathy training at the Canadian School of Osteopathy Manual Practice — where I won the Coup de Coeur award for my thesis on manual osteopathy and olfactory dysfunction. Right now, my continuing education is focused on embryology.

When I’m not in the clinic or the classroom, you’ll find me in the garden, on a ski hill, casting a line, or happily being an aunt.

I offer three services: Osteopathic manual treatment, and two educational modalities Feldenkrais Method® and ELDOA™ which can each be taught individually and in groups.

People consult with me for chronic or acute issues, such as pain, discomfort and or tension.

Osteopathy is a hands-on approach to health that looks at the whole person — not just the symptom. By working with the body’s structure, nervous system, and inherent rhythms, it supports your natural capacity to heal and self-regulate. Your body recognizes health. Osteopathy helps it remember.

The Feldenkrais Method® is a form of somatic education developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais that works through gentle, intentional movement and heightened self-awareness. By engaging the nervous system’s capacity to learn, it helps people discover easier, more efficient ways to move — often with surprising results for pain, range of motion, and overall sense of ease.

ELDOA™ is a precise system of myofascial stretching developed by the French Osteopath Guy Voyer. Effectiveness was central to his thinking from the beginning — each posture targets a specific joint level, creating space where compression and strain has built up over time and restores tension balance in the fascial chains that hold your body upright. It’s very targeted and specific work, and each posture is held for maximum a minute.
