RJ Mindful Moments

R.J. Rongcal

Known for his calm and down-to-earth teaching style, R.J. Rongcal is the founder and owner of Mindful Moments, LLC. R.J. seamlessly blends ancient Buddhist wisdom with today’s “mindfulness movement,” particularly in the tradition of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. He is passionate about empowering others to cultivate an unconditional friendship with themselves. Self-compassion, insight, and self-discovery are at the heart of what he offers. Additionally, R.J. has received meditation training in both Buddhist and secular settings, including a nine-month monastic residency at Gampo Abbey, the first Tibetan Buddhist monastery in North America. He is a student of Pema Chödrön.

Mindful Self-Love Classes

The pathway to self-love may very well be self-understanding, and to understand ourselves we have to be able to observe clearly our own “internal weather.” This observing is where mindfulness comes in. The more familiar we are with our own heart and mind, the more loving and tender we can be with ourselves, and ultimately others. At the heart of it, this is a class on mindful self-compassion.
