DESCRIPTION:Somatic movement is a safe\, gentle and highly efficient practi
 ce appropriate for any fitness level. It is effective for reducing the phy
 sical effects of day-to-day work and can ease symptoms from past injuries 
 and chronic tension. The slow\, mindful nature of the exercises allows you
 r nervous system to connect more effectively with your muscles. This “re
 sets” the muscles and allows them to return to a more relaxed state\, wh
 ile strengthening your body awareness. Somatics can relieve pain and tensi
 on\, prevent injuries and degeneration\, and improve posture and mobility 
 at any age. \n\nEach class we will include restorative yoga poses to stimu
 late the parasympathetic nervous system and encourage further muscle and f
 ascia release throughout the body. This class is designed to help you rela
