SUMMARY:Dance as Medicine: Guided by the Elements
DESCRIPTION:Dance As Medicine is a powerful\, joyful and transformative pra
 ctice of conscious somatic movement. It is designed to guide you gently in
 to fully embracing your body\, experiencing your emotions\, expanding your
  breath\, and unlocking forgotten areas of the body. The modality is acces
 sible to all levels of movers\, and we work with functional exercises to h
 elp introduce new movements to your body gently. There is something for be
 ginner to advanced movers alike\, to experience in this practice.\n\nIn th
 is series we will explore the 5 Elements: Water\, Earth\, Fire\, Air and E
 ther through free-form dance. Connecting with the elements can help us dis
 cover where we are flourishing\, and where we are holding back. Each week 
 will explore a new element and learn some simple movements to help inspire
  individual dance. The final session will be a celebratory dance in ceremo
 ny\, and an opportunity to integrate all the elements into the dance.\n\nT
 here is no rigid formula\, just guidance to help you tune into what your b
 ody wants to feel and do. All are welcome. LGBTQIA2+ friendly. Drop-in $23
 \, if space permits. I recommend that you experience the full program if y
