Please join Sarana Miller for a weekend of breathing, chanting, meditation, asana and soaking in the healing mineral waters of Wilbur. Come strengthen your practice while relaxing and rejuvenating your body and mind. We’ll step back from our daily routines and retreat to this sacred land, home to healing waters that have been used for renewal for centuries. Students will practice yoga on Wilbur’s beautiful yoga deck, cradled in nature with the sounds of the breeze and the creek. We will begin each day with chanting and pranayama, followed by breakfast and then an active morning session. In the afternoon there will be time for bathing, hiking, massage and personal reflection time. We will gather in the late afternoon for a restorative yoga session followed by a delicious dinner.

Slow Yoga In a Fast World – by Aaron Davidman

…Get me to the yoga mat. It’s the 3 x 6 foot space where I live beyond the reach of time. Here I can retreat from the race. After years of practicing yoga, I’m finally learning that, on the mat, time is on my side. I came to yoga as an actor in need of a routine that would ground me in my body and focus my mind. …Slow yoga is my practice. On the mat I feel vast. My mind relaxes, my body is grounded and the world racing at breakneck speed doesn’t even faze me. Read Aaron’s full blog here. Aaron Davidman is a playwright, director, yoga enthusiast and manager of SaranaYoga.

Taking the Waters: Hot Springs in California

“…My personal favorite is Wilbur. My friend and rocking yoga teacher, Sarana Miller was born on the property itself and her father still owns it. On a recent getaway to Wilbur, I quickly remembered how to relax and forget my stresses (or perhaps boiled them away in hot water!?). The special sauce was the combination of country sun and warm, healing water. Their motto, “In all the World, No Waters Like These,” holds true for me. Not only does that environment relax my body nearly immediately, but it relaxes my knotted mind.” – Amy | http://www.internationalorange.com/blog/taking-the-waters-hot-springs-in-california/
