Known for teaching yoga on paddleboards in pristine locations, Shannon’s students are drawn to her rare ability to shift the energy in any situation with humour, honesty and her caring approach.
Since 2008, people from all ages, stages and places have trusted Shannon to guide them through yoga classes as they connect to their bodies, minds and spirits. Known for her grounding and calm presence, Shannon’s gift to create real breakthroughs for her students is a superpower that anchors her students.
These days, Shannon can be found teaching online or outside, or volunteering and giving back by teaching trauma informed yoga to people with addictions, always providing a safe space for people to go within.
As a lover of nature, Shannon is often found hiking a mountain in the forest or on the water paddling. Her love of the outdoors comes from the feeling of connection she gets while immersed in the beauty of the natural world. Shannon has travelled to some amazing places on this planet, and loves to learn about people, culture and the environment.
When Shannon is not in the forest, you can find her on her yoga mat, teaching and practicing yoga. Her yoga journey began 25 years ago, when she attended her first yoga class.
All of these elements and experiences have shaped how she teaches. She has a passion for the practice of yoga and a desire to spread the gift of yoga to others. Connecting to the practices of yoga has helped Shannon heal and transform traumatic experiences.
