Permission to Grieve Women's Retreat with Purple Acorn Yoga

Permission to Grieve Women’s Retreat at Nectar Yoga B&B

A women’s yoga retreat to share, feel and support your grief after loss.

You may never get over the death of a loved one but together we can change our relationship with grief and learn to grow with it. Come be a part of a space where your grief is validated, acknowledged and supported.

Surrounded by nature, join Therapeutic Yoga Teacher and fellow loss survivor, Richelle Muscroft, to nourish your mind, body, and soul in a compassionate space with the collective support of women who have also experienced loss.

Weekend Details:

Start each morning with coffee/tea and fresh smoothies before entering the geodesic Yoga Dome for morning guided meditation, breathwork, and Hatha Yoga practice. To wind down from the day before dinner and encourage restful sleep, each evening will end with a gentle restorative/yin practice. All mats and props will be provided.

Daytime gatherings will include facilitated conversations, share circles, and guided journaling to share, acknowledge and process your grief. Together, we create the space to honour our stories, our loved one(s) and support each other to lighten the weight of loss. Take-home resources and self-care practices will be offered. Space will be limited to 12 participants.

Take a break from needing to cook and nourish your body with nourishing meals prepared with love and local produce by Holistic Nutritionist, Amanda Whitehead of Wildhearts Living. All meals, drinks and snacks for the weekend are included, and we do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Leave the dishes to us.

Situated on 20-forested acres mid-island on beautiful Bowen, the new location of Nectar Yoga B&B is the perfect place to have space. To ensure you have time to rest, process, journal and reflect, most accommodation for this retreat is private. All rooms and cabins are thoughtfully designed to make your 3-night stay as comfortable as possible. Relax in your room, explore the local trails, meditate outside or gather in front of the fire in the Main Onyx Lodge. The space and property is yours to enjoy.

“It was very helpful to be among women who were going through, and therefore understood, the grief I am going through. Richelle’s warmth and kindness, as well as her generous spirit, made it a safe place to feel and share the immense pain we are all experiencing.”- Past Participant

This retreat is not intended to be a replacement for professional counseling but to complement your self-care and grief journey. Due to the context of this retreat, it must be at least 3 months since your loss. If this weekend away is calling you, visit to find out more.

“Though in many ways grief isolates us, in so many other ways it connects us to more people than we could ever have reached otherwise.” -Aimee-Claire Smith
