We are hosting a Vipassana silent meditation retreat in San Francisco!

Retreats involve an extended period of Noble Silence, meaning that there’s very little talking, activity, or distraction. During these retreats, you will be able to maximize the amount of time each day that you spend meditating. There will be a daily check-in with 1:1 instruction as well as a nightly dharma talk with Q&A from the group. Meditators of all levels are welcome.

Tucker Peck, a clinical psychologist and meditation teacher, is the teacher for this retreat! He studied meditation first with Sharon Salzberg and then with Upasaka Culadasa (author of The Mind Illuminated), who approved Tucker to teach. Tucker teaches in a style that combines ancient meditation techniques with modern cognitive science. He lives in Tucson, Arizona, where he runs a clinic, works as a private practice psychologist, and teaches meditation both locally and over video chat. You can read more about Tucker here:

**** Note: The cost of the retreat is a sliding scale of $180 – $280, which includes housing as well as vegetarian meals and snacks for the weekend. This amount does not include dana, which is a sliding scale donation to the teacher for his time and teachings.

To secure your spot, book on Eventbrite or pay some amount between $180-$280 to June through Venmo @junelin or PayPal if you want to save on the cost of the fee. Please note: Eventbrite will only allow us to charge 1 fee amount, so if you’re interested in paying something along the sliding scale, please use Venmo or PayPal.

**** Another note! We want to make this retreat accessible to everyone who wants to come! If money is an issue, we now have a foundation through which you can apply for a scholarship for a portion or all of the cost of going:

The retreat house is a 5 bedroom house in Cole Valley. Attendants will be expected to share a room with another attendant. If you would like more privacy, it is also possible to bring a tent and camp in the backyard.
