East Bay Healing Collective
The East Bay Healing Collective offers two meditation sanghas each week: the Saturday Night Sangha and the Heart of Light Sangha on Monday nights.
Every Saturday the Sangha meets, from 6:00 – 8:30 pm. After a brief introduction, we sit in silent meditation for 40 minutes. We support and welcome all silent meditation practices. After the meditation is a dharma talk and discussion. This warm, multi-generational community welcomes both experienced meditators as well as folks just beginning to explore meditation.
The East Bay Healing Collective is located a 1840 Alcatraz in Berkeley, near the intersection of Adeline. We are just a short walk from the Ashby BART. On a typical Monday evening, the parking lot at the corner of Alcatraz and Adeline is nearly empty, and there is ample street parking as well. The sangha is absolutely free: participants leave cash donations at the end only if they feel moved to do so.
The East Bay Healing Collective was founded to provide a safe, supportive space for individuals and groups to gather for a variety of healing arts and practices. We believe that health and healing—of the heart, mind, emotions, and body—are essential to the well-being of individuals and our community, and as basic a right as clean air or water.
We currently offer workshops and classes in Meditation, Counseling, Psychotherapy, Life Coaching, Acupressure, Sound Healing, Restorative Yoga, Creative Writing among other modalities.
If you or someone you know would like to offer a workshop or use the space for a community meeting or project, please let us know!
